3D Printing Summit

Applications of 3D Printing
TICKETS

3D printing is probably the best example of data being transformed into a tangible product. The idea of 3D printing is not altogether new in industrial manufacturing either – recently, however, it has come to the attention of a wider audience. More and more industries are discovering the advantages of 3D printing and developing new materials, procedures and ecosystems.

Which trends and developments are on the horizon in the user industries? What challenges are companies facing? And which 3D printing companies have already gained experience concerning the needs of different industries?

The 3D Printing Summit puts the applications centre stage. User and tech companies share their experiences – along with their customers or partners. Global players, SMEs and start-ups compare notes and report on their strategies and insights in the field of business, technology, security, optimisation and new application scenarios. The 3D Printing Summit brings together manufacturers and user companies, as well as user-oriented research and consulting.

You are warmly invited to join us on 28 September 2017 in Berlin!

The 3D Printing Summit is a half-day conference on the current trends and challenges facing the 3D printing market. We want to put the applications centre stage and ask both user and tech companies to tell us about their experiences – together with their customers or partners.

In addition to reports about practical experiences, the programme will also include lectures on strategy issues as well as important technology and market trends. In lectures, panel discussions or pitches, speakers from national and international companies will outline their ideas and strategies for the future of 3D printing.

For this purpose, we are looking for speakers to give 15–25-minute talks. If you are interested, please send an email to Iris Bröse (i.broese@bitkom.org) by 30 April. Your email should take into account these guidelines.

Germans predict bright future for 3D printing

Almost a fifth of Germans have already used a 3D printer themselves or had something made using a 3D printer. Most still consider the printers too expensive for home use. 3D printing in the home offers opportunities for start-ups. mehr
